Support the Military

Next time you see a soldier thank them for serving in the United States Military. They risk their lives everyday when deployed overseas for us. A couple stories below are heart wrenching and horror filled.

Hearing about captive soldiers is truly a sad and scary thing. 2 years ago the Taliban got a hold of U.S. soldier and posted videos. There is talk regarding “diplomatic discussions” between the Taliban officials and our government officials of the release to Bowe Bergdahl (Idaho National Guard). Yahoo also reports that’s the Taliban wants there prisoners out of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for Mr. Bergdahl.

War itself is a horrible thing but when there are American captives it becomes increasingly scary and must be Taken care of. When researching some facts about Prisoners of War it’s brought to my attention of past POW Jessica Lynch. Lynch was captured on March 23rd when parts of her 507th Maintenance Company were overrun near Nasariyah in southern Iraq. Her tank was bombed and they were taken captive. CBS then reports she was beaten, she was unable to shoot anyone due to her gun being jammed. She later then escaped and has become a hero to many people in the United States.

Supporting our military should be a must in this country. If it weren’t for them risking their lives, defending our freedom where would we be today?
